Met Gala 2025

Met Gala 2025

The first Monday in May has come and gone, and fashion’s biggest night did not disappoint. While the theme may change every year, one thing remains constant: the true rockstars are the ones who break the rules. At the 2025 Met Gala, amidst a sea of safe silhouettes and glittery gowns, a handful of bold icons came dressed to disrupt — and, naturally, we were obsessed.

Rihanna reminded us why she’s the queen of the Met, arriving fashionably late in Marc Jacobs, wrapped in layers of sheer black tulle and dripping in downtown decadence. The look was dark, romantic, and reminiscent. And in true Rihanna form, she turned the moment into history— revealing her pregnancy at the Met Gala. To pull up late, serve a look that leaves everyone breathless, and announce you're bringing new life into the world? That's not just fashion — that's legacy.

Let’s talk about Kim Kardashian, who ditched the usual for full-blown goth couture. Drenched in leather, crucifixes, and attitude, her custom Chrome Hearts look was a dark symphony of ‘90s grunge and LA biker royalty. Chrome Hearts has always been the ultimate symbol of rebellious luxury: handmade, edgy, and just out of reach. It was exactly what we mean when we say rockstar energy.

Lorde was one of our top best-dressed of the night. In a twisted, baroque Thom Browne piece, she looked like a haunted bride straight out of a gothic fairytale. Her entire aura screamed ethereal rebellion — and yes, we’d wear a vintage version in a heartbeat.

Lewis Hamilton gets points for bringing the drama and the tailoring. His Wales Bonner look reminded us that menswear can still be fearless, fluid, and elevated. Bonus points for showing the fashion boys how it’s done.

Miley Cyrus was the blueprint for chaotic cool in custom Alaïa — slinky, strappy, and just undone enough to make it look effortless. It felt like something you’d find buried in a vintage bin and wear to a dive bar at midnight. We stan.

And let’s talk about Cynthia Erivo — a true vision in Givenchy. Her look was part priestess, part intergalactic queen, wrapped in structured black-and-white layers that felt almost ceremonial. But it was the details that sealed the deal — the slicked-back hair, the razor-sharp eyes, and those nails.

We also loved Emma Chamberlain’s edgy-meets-space-age moment in Courrèges, Alex Consani dripping in Swarovski crystal armor.

So what’s the takeaway? Fashion’s not about playing it safe. It’s about playing at all. Channel these Met Gala rebels next time you pull on a vintage slip, throw on your oldest leather jacket, or stomp around in too-tall boots. Because if the 2025 Met Gala proved anything, it’s that the best looks are the ones that can’t be replicated — only reworn.
